Yesterday the Home Office announced that the charge for calling the police non-emergency number is to be scrapped from today.

The Home Office will spend £7 million a year to meet the connection costs. At present, telephony providers charge 101 callers a 15p connection fee.

We can confirm that the required changes have been made on our network and calls to 101 are now free of charge to the caller on all our services. We will issue an updated call rate list at a later date.
